Since I switched my Oberservation Paper quotographs to square formatting, I've been curious about sharing those slides on other platforms. Here is my experiment with uploading it to SlideShare as a PDF.
I found it interesting that you don't click through the slides but rather scroll through them. The best I can tell is because of the size of the slides, it loaded this pdf as a document instead of as a presentation.
Fourteen years ago when I asked, "How can I make Halloween fun for myself?" I created the original Web of Fortune.
While the Web of Fortune has held up well over the years, usually we would lose a dowel rod or two during Halloween, so I got in the habit of regluing dowels before the wheel went into storage. With each repair, the itch to rebuild my spinning game grew stronger. I was aiming to make three big improvements: going vertical, adding lights and of course making it stronger.
I've been sketching plans for a couple of years, and finally the urgency of another approaching Halloween provided the proper motivation to finally build Web of Fortune 2.0.

Web of Fortune 2.0 was well received by new kids as well as returners. We had over 180 trick or treaters stop by for a spin.
When missteps, mistakes and failures happen, it's helpful to diagnose what went wrong in order to ensure better execution next time, but it's too easy to quickly fall in to the trap of pointing fingers and assigning blame.
FIRST RULE OF BUSINESS: Assign blame.
Leaders are measured by the size of their shoulders. Insecure leaders point downwards, calling out how others missed the mark. Confident leaders accept responsibility for others' actions taken on their team. This classic quote from Bear Bryant sums it up nicely.
Effective leaders get the blame out of the way early, so the focus can shift from who to what. "Who screwed up?" is not productive. "What went wrong?" is.
