My first DNF! I was ill prepared for the heat and the overnight experience. I had run 13 marathons and 2 50ks by this time. I was feeling overconfident and signed up the day of the race thinking I could easily run it. Wrong. Lots of tripping and tons of bugs. I was out after 10 miles. Surprisingly, I’m not listed as an official DNF for this race. My guess is since I signed up at the race and didn’t finish, they didn’t bother to manually add me to the roster.
