I'm never run this race again

Whew, it was hot! I think I'm better served volunteering at this one.

Recap and review of the 2017 Pyscho Psummer 50k, the summer version of the Psycho Wyco ultra marathon hosted by the Trail Nerds. The race is a three loop trail run around Wyandotte County Lake Park. The temperature soared to almost 100, but we kept our cool with ice bandanas, wrist ice, and boob ice.

Marathon and 50k Finish Times

The Psummer Psycho got me curious about my finish times over the years. Here's a side-by-side comparison of all my marathon and 50k finish times, so far.

After reviewing this, a good goal for me to chase looks like running a 50k in under 6 hours, so that I have a 50k faster than the Big Elk Marathon. 

It got a little hotter this year

I was curious to compare this year's miserable heat during the Psummer Psycho 50k to last year's miserable heat. For the first three hours, they were similar, but as the day went on this year became a lot warmer. Then I was curious to see how the increase in temps impacted my pace. It's pretty clear to see how those temps had a significant impact on my third loop.
